well, i think i want to use a reef rack in the 65. i stuck all the rock in there today, but i cannot safely get the height i want without a tumble, and i do not want to use anything like acrylic rods or putty. so my question is, does anyone have a reefrack, or know how to make one? i can maybe come up with the diagram of how i want it to look, but have no clue how to go about building one. i do now i want to stick a powerhead behind it for flow though :D

Hmmm...I think Reefguy was trying to get rid of his. Not sure what size his was. Jhale has some in his tank, he could probably point you in the right direction to build em. I think he used PVC and egg crate.

Jennie, I gave away all the extra parts i made mine with but I can get them back this weekend. I used 3/4 black pvc fittings and black egg crate, and black zip ties. also forgot the 3/4 black pvc pipe. you can make them any size or hieght it's pretty simple. no gluing involved either. just slip the pvc together and use the zip ties to attach the egg crate. i did sand the egg crate, it had a ton of sharp corners, not good for little fish. lmk if you need help or the parts.

now kris, i think you would know the tank is not 48" :D

jonathan, where did you find black pvc and black egg crate? i might just do it that way. i plan on putting silicone on all edges so that nothing is harmed :D but i won't have small fish, just a volitan eventually

www.savko.com

you don't need to silicone the edges, just round them over with 150 grit sand paper,
mine went from being able to rip your hand up to being able to be dragged across your face with no damage. :)

I gave that to spykes. sting has all the fittings.
