Reef saver rock in Tap water

So I just got my shipment of 75pounds of brs dry rock and I'm still waiting on delivery of my ro/di unit. So last night I rinsed the rock off in buckets with tap water then through the rock in a brute bucket with powerheads and tap/saltwater to cure/clean and debris that might be attached. By using tap water did I screw myself? Should I take the rock out and let it dry out asap and restart with ro/di or should I be ok as long as my tank will be cycled with ro/di?

i would take it out and wait until you can make ro/di water. don't rush it.
the phosphates will seep deep into the rock.

I did the same thing you are doing and it turned out fine...just be warned that rock is gonna stink in that bucket...

I took it out and I'm drying it out. I'll start the process over when I get ro/di water.
