Reefer income poll

I've noticed that I have literally thousands of $$ sunk into my fairly small reef setup. It got me to thinking to myself. "self", I thought, "I wonder how all these ppl can afford reef tanks!". I thought to myself, "I wonder what the average household income for these guys are.

You don't have to post, but let's see if what the income of reefers here is.

Are we all rich? WOULD we all be rich if we didn't reef? Can we REALLY afford our hobby and addiction haha?

I live in the bay area of CA where the medium house price is around 700,000 for the entire area. I think a lot of reefers round here may be in a group above your poll segments.

EDIT: Oh, after taxes. God knows what our income is.

You want after tax I got to figure that out. What I see in my check is after tax, 410k, insurance etc. It would be easier to be pre-tax figure. This year I am over your chart, pre-tax.

right, i DID post a $95 and UP scale, but I think i had already posted the max numbers of OPTIONS.. soooo

IF YOU MAKE OVER $95 just choose the highest one on the scale still gives a representation.

Yes but I would need a pay stub to figure what goes to the tax man and what goes elsewhere.

I think I just beat you out on those brackets- doesnt matter to me though - while I wouldnt mind making more money(who wouldnt honestly?) I am fairly content in my life...excepting for the single part, but since the women I tend to gravitate to tend to be psychotic in some manner, I think its the safer bet for me.

Well, you know I joined the army for alllllllll the money!! Unfortunately as it turns out, that wasn't the best financial decision. However, I really can't complain. Getting up there in rank now so that helps. I think I made middle class woohoo lol.

We all have to take location in the U.S. into account as well. The person claiming 95+ on the west coast is realisticaly only as well off as the person in the midwest making 65+. Its all relative.
