Check Out These Damsels - Perfect for your Nano - or Big Tank. These guys are pretty friendly for damsels. They May be schooling damsels too.

They are holding there own with the niger trigger in there lol.
Their eyes also fluoresce or glow under atinic lighting; real cool looking First time I have seen them.

Nice. Do you have a species or common name for them?

As time goes on the spot will fade away and the Damsel will actually start to turn a drabber color. You do need to be careful as a lot of these damsels get very large over time, 6"-7"+ range. They also become very aggressive.

so do you think this one will get big. This is the first time I have seen this one. If it stays that size that would be a break from the standard blue and yellow damsel. You have to see this fish under actinics; it almost glows!

Most of them do grow pretty large, some larger than others, and are much more colorful when they're smaller. The eye spot and any blue dots usually fade in time as the damsel gets larger. Some adults colors look nothing like the Juv colors. I have one that was a nice dark red with blue spots when I got it and now it drab in color and very large, to the point most people are surprised when they find out it's a damsel.

The real question is to be able to Id it correctly as there are so many different damsel that show up that look alike.
