Removing Pink Bacteria From Glass

I have a pink barnacle like bacteria that is all over my glass. I have been just scraping it off the front so i can see better, but that seems to be the only solution. Is there any way to prevent it from building? It is a really tough texture and I need to use a knife and scrape hard to get it off
