Wanted to know how many pumps are people running. I feel like i have way to much stuff pluged in thats why by electric bill is so high and want to cut back. I recentely installed a mag 12 to feed water to two phosphate recectors and a uv light. It also has a spare to hook up one more equipment. I didnt want to take and pressure off of my return thats why i did this. I currently have a blueline 55 return pump which is also feeding my chiller. Should i take out the mag 12 and tie everything it this return pump or should i leave it the way it is. Any input would be great.

I built a manifold off of my main pump(hammerhead). It runs 3 tanks, Phosban reactor, Carbon reactor, Calcium reactor...and room to spare...:splitspin...I have a backup hammerhead that is on call incase the other fails. Obviousy you can get the pump that suits all your needs(gph & head pressure) and size accordingly. This has saved me quite a bit of money. The only thing that I have on its own pump is my Skimmer.

+1 - I did it the same way with one big pump supporting everything and second as a buck up.
