Ive got some very rigid rock work, and it never seems like my snails can make it to the top. My rock is from marco rocks and pretty much is all dead corals. Nice rock, however never seen my snail get to the top even though there is a slight algae at the top.

Does rigid rock work = bad habitat for snails.

I think ive answered my own question but wanted to get others take and experience

Going from my experience, I have 4 Turbo Snails with some jagged rock sufaces and they transverse it rather well. There are times they will "reach" up and over a gap to get get to a higher level. Maybe it's just a matter of time your snails will explore the rock you have. Hope that gives you some insight.

you might need smaller critters to get in all the crevices.

my snails amaze me at the places they end up. I think they can jump :D
