I use this site to document my tank history. Came home from work today and looked for my scooter blenny mandarin in the sand. I knew he was starving and knew any day now he would die. I had him for 7 months and he was sold to me as my second fish for my very new tank
I added bottles and bottles of tisbe and tigre pods to start my pod population. Anyways i knew for a long time he would die off from starvation eventually, his death is not a shock to me. He did well for 6 months and grew quite a bit but i noticed this last month he was getting very skinny, shrunken stomach, and spine showing. In the last week i observed him to weak to even burrow in the sand at night and even to weak to swim up on the rocks. Knew his days were numbered, tonight he is no where to be found for the first time. Cool fish, will be missed and sadly added to my never again list.
