I just purchased a ro di unit. As everyone knows as it makes 1 gallon of rodi water the unit flushes out 3 to 4 gallons down the drain.
If I drained the water into a 50 gallon container can I pump that water back to the unit??? I tested my water supply and it read 103ppm, after making a few gallons I tested the rodi and it read 0 and the water out of my drain read 103ppm same as my faucet.

Has anyone tried pumping it back to the rodi? If you have what kindda of pump did you use... I don't like wasting this amount of water and I would like to pump it back to my rodi and or use the pump for my garden( in the spring summer time).

the unit uses 1/4 tubing

just spoke to the people who sell the typhoon...
they said if i installed one of their pumps i can get over 40 psi with all the 1/4 connections.
i'm just wondering if anyone has tried this.
if you can reuse the discharged water back into the rodi system wouldn't that save water? I know you can use it in the garden/lawn but you'd still need a pump to pump it out.
