Rose bubble tip question

Why is my RBTA doing this? It's done it twice in the last week. Let's loose a long stringy thing out of it's mouth that my maroon clown pulls away.
Also the maroon hosting it is pretty aggressive rubbing on it. Could that be the case?

If that is a small rbta your maroon clown can possible be damaging it. Without knowing your parameters and lighting its hard to tell.
