Life was great, my wife and I have the 120 set up almost perfect, we removed all the trouble makers and everyone was happy. We have a Scopa Tang, pair of true clowns, 3 blue chromis, a yellow 4 dot wrasse, unknown silver wrasse, orchid dottyback, midas blennie, coral banded shrimp, scarlett cleaner shrimp, fire shrimp, 2 brittle star fish, 2 emerald crabs and our ROYAL GRAMMA. We went on a quest this weekend looking for 3 pajama cardnals to complete our happy family. We found a mandrin we couldn't pass up on Friday night- everyone was still happy and the quest for the PJ's continued. Last night we hit the jackpot at Pet Warehouse and got our PJ's. All was swell til this morning. First the Scopa tang led the bullying, then by noon the PJs were huddled in the top right corner by the overflow with the Royal Gramma standing guard. Got home around 6:30pm and there still there. I chased the gramma, then the PJ's try to make a run for it then the Royal heards them right back to the corner. Is there hope for peace and a freedom to swim act, or do need to become a mad scienctist and design an electric collar for the Royal Gramma for training.

Here are some pics of the Criminal , the Victims, the Crime Scene, and the Witnesses with some tank shots. Enjoy

My wife was calling me all morning give me detailed reports making me feel sad for them. I'm going to ad some rock work to the right front part of the tank to add another cave. Hopefully the Royal gramma doesn't stake claim to that too.

I hate my RG I have been trying to catch him for months. he is a territorial jerk and nothing can kill him he lived through a nasty brook infection and I even tried to skewwer him. One night we had 3 people shoulder deep in my tank trying to get him... I suggest a tiny speargun! and maybe drop a firecracker in his cave..haha dynamite fishing at home !!

J/k about the firecracker .. but I dunno why people say they are non agressive...

beautiful tank you have there!

I have one that use to bite off the tips from my frog's spawn and then he just stopped doing it.I didn't know they were capable of doing something so sinister.

I just took my whole tank apart to catch a bicolor pseudochromis that was upsetting everything in my tank. Still don't have everything back to my liking. Even though... I am much happier and so are all that live on my reef...

I've fastened a rubber band to a straw and using a toothpick as a harpoon wish me luck. :tongue1::lol:

We finally got the rockwork the way we wanted, if I have to take it all out; the RG will feel my wrath.:irked:

Lights are out and everyone is a sleep and the PJ's are out playing. They just ate some food so that is a good sign. Added some more rock for added PJ hiding spots. May the fish gods have mercy on them.

Count your blessings that you don't have it's southern cousin the Brazilian Gramma. I have one and boy can they be tough let alone much bigger in size.

Darn shame..RG's are just too terror-torial ;)
Then again, if you re-home the RG, your Dottyback may just take it's place as the nasty fish :(...and then again, those 3 Chromis - if they don't end up as just one Chromis - may eventually also turn nasty.
Quite the criminal element you have there!

Very pretty tank btw :)

i had a similar problem. i was able to remove the fish and put him in another tank, but then that tank had a problem so i had to put him back in the main display. after being reintroduced he was not as nasty anymore to the other fishes.

Guess that hardest part would be catching him

Here my wife and I thought we had such a peaceful tank. Is there such a thing as a peaceful fish. Thank you, we finally got the tank the way we love it. I don't think my wife could handle taking it apart to catch them.
