Does anyone else use Salifert to test Iodine? It measures iodide & iodate, but I am coming up with > .1 ppm as a result. Use natural ocean water in tank (Real Ocean) and came up with the same results when measuring this water too. Supposed to be total .06 ppm in all forms in natural water.
Wondering what results others get using this specific test.
Thanks

Yes, I use "Real Ocean" by the Catalina company. It is taken directly from the ocean but is filtered for possible pollutants. However they do not add anything to it, such as iodine and so I do not understand the high reading. Yes, Salifert is one of the best which is why I use them but wondering what readings other people get when using this test.
