Salt?

Im Ready To Buy Some Salt For My 26 Gallon Tank. Just Curious As To What Salts Everyone Is Using? What Is The Popular Choice For Healthy Fish & Reefs? Thanks.

There have been many threads on what salt people use. I use Tropic Marin Pro Reef. Most others, if I remember the other threads correctly, use I/O or Oceanic. Here is just one of several threads about it.

Instant Ocean or Reef Crytals

Used to use Tropic Marin, but switched to I/O because it's half the cost. I did have an easier time keeping my parameters where I wanted with the TM. I/O is usally low on calcium and magnesium.

I've always been using Instant Ocean and I think it's great but I have a bucket of Seachem Salt as well and it states it has a buffer in it so I use that every 2 water changes as. Seachem uses high concentrations of Boron for their buffering and does not mix well.Gave up on it.

I personally use tropic marin the regular one never had a problem with keeping softies but I will be trying the Tunze salt soon going for a more sps dominant reef tank.

Tropic Marin Pro reef,,,, Never had any trouble mixing or heating quickly. Dissolves crystal clear
