I think Hy made some good points. Scientific studies should be done well in advance, but in my experience the final presenation (eg. powerpoint) often gets created in the final week (at least mine do).

As far as the program for MO it is being put together by Dr. Leonard Young of the Hawaii Department of Aquaculture (not by Paul Holthus). The panel to be held on March 1st was approved by Dr. Young.

Peter,
Do you remember a somewhat similar survey that MAC (I believe) sent out to retail stores a few years back? The survey I'm referring too was geared toward retailers and not hobyists. Perhaps U of F did that survey too. Were the results talked about at one of the previous MO conferences?
Thanks,
Mitch

Dizzy (Mitch) Dr. Sherry Larkin and co-authors a published a paper in the book Marine Ornamental Species, Collection Culture, and Conservation titled
Wholesale and retail break-even prices of MAC-certified Queen angelfish (Holocanthus ciliaris). Presumably, this was based on a presentation made at the 2nd MO conference held in Lake Bueno Vista (near DisneyWord outside Orlando, Florida). I did not attend the talk although I was at the conference.
