Seachem reef salt

I have used reef crystals for years. I am thinking of changing to seachem reef salt. Anyone with experience with it?

I sometimes get this brownish film of stuff after I mix the salt. I have heard people have problems with cyano with it also. Ca and Mg levels are less than desired.

Do you personally have problems with the salt apart from you seeing a brownish film after using it for years?

If it's not broken don't fix it.

When the Seachem salt first came out, it was commented that the borate levels were too high which caused a lot of users to not use the salt. I thought that I had read that they might have corrected this issue but am not sure. The high borate levels was one of the reasons that there salt can mix to an 8.4 PH level with Calcium at 450 ppm.
