Sebae Anemone

right.
so i finally broke down and got one. i got the anemone and a pair of saddleback clowns for $20...
all three looked great and i couldn't say no.

Q1: i know the anemone needs to be target fed, but i don't know that i really want to use a product like microvert or the like.
first i want to try and feed it frozen shrimp. can i really just use the frozen, peeled, de-veined shrimp from my freezer? if so, how big a piece? (depends on the size of the anemone?)

Q2: if the anemone decides to take a walk, which i feel it has started to;
if it goes in between the rock work and the overflow do i need to chase it, or will it find it's way out?
i know they are movers until they find the "sweet spot", but will they find their own way out of a tight spot?

Anemones can get in and out of many tight spaces. Be sure any powerheads cant suck it in, also be sure sponges cover any strainers otherwise you may come home to an anemone powerhead combo. I fed mine in the past with krill, choped silversides, and such. Raw uncooked pealed shrimp chopped would work too. I find they dont seem to digest larger pieces as well, but of course it also depends on the anemone. The worst is when they decide their sweet spot is where you cant see them lol.

When I had my Sebae with clownfish, I never fed it directly. The clowns would let me anyhow. It got all its nutrition from the clowns and from light.

If a Sebae starts to head into dark areas or filters, I'd carefully relocate it. I've known too many anemones who wander into filters/pumps or go into caves and never come back out
