setting up a frag tank

I have a 46 gallon reef set up but i want to set up a frag tank. what do i need to set up a 30 gallon frag tank? do i need rock and sand? and what kind of filtration? thanks

Are you planning on running the two tanks off the same sump?

no, 2 separate tanks. do i need a sump for the frag tank? or are here better filters for this?

yea im doin the same thing but i have a 55 and im settin up a 220 as a frag tank

how are you setting your tanks up? wut type of filtration? rocks or sand?
