What model? If it's above the "union" collar, this sounds too deep. My CS8-2 sits with the water level about 3/4 the way up the main body, below the 8" to 6" reduction area.
CS6-3. I have the tube as low as it will go and the water is just below the grey colar. 2 days and no skimming yet. I thought this thing might kick in after a day or so. Oh well! I'm sure it will kick in soon.
