Share your experience ordering from Dr. Mac (pacificeast aquaculture)

If you have ordered from Dr. Mac, can you share your experience? Positive or negative. Whether their livestock was healthy or not, and if costumer service was helpful. How does it compare with Live aquaria?

Ordered several times. Could not be happier. Customers Service is top notch.

Good customer service. Only negative was one item I ordered was not what was shown in pic. I didn't make a stink out of it cause they were very friendly and it wasn't terribly expensive.

Damn, they screw up my order big time. All my corals died within hours, and on top of that, they don't want to refund anything. They do want to give me partial credit, but I don't really want order from them again for fear that the same thing might happen. I took half a day off from work to go pick up the package and everything died. I am out $160 and no corals.

According to our admins we should look at the reefer ratings and not openly speak about experiences with MR Vendors or Members. That is why the reefer ratings are in place.

I asked what were people experiences with this particular vendor, only two people replied back. I then added my experience.

That's a shame, I have looked at the site a few times and they have some nice stuff. They give a reason why they won't give full credit?

I have ordered from them on several occasions, corals and clams. Everything was healthy and i would order again. Never had an issue so I don't know how their customer service compares to other online vendors.

I have ordered from them but only for swap delivery. Was satisfied and know their customers usually are happy (they have been doing this since before I got into the hobby in 99 so there is something to be said there). Playing devil's advocate, usually if coral arrives alive and dies after it is put into a tank, livestock vendors don't give refunds because there is no way to know it was their fault, people have some horrid water conditions... that being said, a few hours is suspect and if that is the whole story I would say you deserve a full refund. The only online vendor (or non online vendor for that matter) with a bulletproof return policy is Live Aquaria.

Before this thread gets closed, I think they are top notch. They were the first vendor I called to order from in 2007 when I started and they wouldn't sell to me bc my tank wasn't ready!!! They actually care about people and livestock!!!

What problem did you have? You picked up coral and then what happened?

They have also been great every time Ive ordered from them, always well packaged and exactly as pictured. They don't photoshop pictures like most vendors (online retailers, not our vendors) which is tremendous.
