What is needed to be able to ship Ricordia to the UK? Do I need to file any paperwork or have a special permit. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I have a few guys in the UK that want some ricordia and would like to send it to them. I will be shipping UPS overnight.

This is a little tricky. I'd contact US Fish & Wildlife in Los Angeles and ask them the rules. They know all about shipping aquaria.

Bryan,
I would suspect that you may be required to prove the ricordia was obtained legally before you can ship it out of country.

Dizzy,

That is not a problem. I get them from a diver that has all the required permits. I will see what I can find from the Fish and Wildlife and let you know.

Bryan,
I think getting it out of this country will be much easier than getting it in the UK. They will have to have all the necessary permits and things on their end, so they need to do their homework over there. You should check with Fish and Wildlife, but getting protected corals through UK customs will probably be quite challenging.

dizzy, you ain't kidding! Man, all I wanted to do was send a birthday gift to a mate of mine, almost three weeks! AND, the gits rifled through the ENTIRE package, and couldn't be arsed to repack it so nothing broke. Damn British post. They also don't use date/time stamps on their mail. Gits.
