Looks good. Are you installing doors? If not I would leave as is . I just built my stand it looks alot like yours. I'm not installing doors at the moment. I really like the open look. If you are installing doors the fan would be a good idea. It will keep moisture down.

It's always a great great treat to display your filtration system and all of the fascinating little creatures and sea life we keep in our sumps , it's actually a great question , I would love to keep the doors open all the time but some noise is too much when your trying to watch tv lol but as for the back , I would definitely leave it open to help moisture escape , if not maybe you can cut out a set of windows for small fans , 1blowing air in and the other blowing it out !!

Just my idea . Great thread !!!

Since you are installing doors, then you should probably just leave the back open. This way you won't need fans. Although if your not running a chiller for the summer months a fan would be a good idea.

Not all the time but it all depends on how hot it gets in your place during the summer, my wife is a teacher so she's always off and home for the summer and with a 2 month old baby and my other two kids , it will always be cool in the house , so I can actually get away without needing a chiller , but I have used the fan before , just for a few hrs and it makes a great deal but brings up water evaporating quite substantially .

i would leave the back open. mine is open and my cat likes to go snooping around in their, so it can be a pain if you have a cat. i have my fans hooked to controller to go on when tank reaches 80 degrees.
