Silly Question.....lighting....

Hi All

This is probably a silly question, but are what are refered to as VHO lights all over these forums the same as what we call T5s. I know the T5 is merely a description of a 5/8" tube (mine are proper aquarium lights), but I am unclear as to whether the VHOs refered to are one and the same....

Sorry for being so dumb... I did try and find the answer in some of the other areas of the site before posting...

I beleive that VHOs are T12s and I also gather that there are high output T5s, but they are not the same bulbs.

VHO are Very High Output T12. T5 are high out put also. T12 are 12/8" diameter correctly noted a 1 1/2" OD.
