skimmate overflow!

my skimmer was foaming like crazy and i didnt notice it had overflowed and spilled all the skimmate back into my tank. i think maybe something spawned. should i be worried? i dont have water ready for a water change yet, i will make some tonight but wont be able to use it until tomorrow earliest.

fyi it was a full cup almost 3 weeks worth of skimming, euroreef on a 100 gallon.

No worries. Some corals may even like it.

My ASM G3 used to do it until I got the gate valve mod, I think MSX still makes them and they may even fit Euro Reefs.

Some times you just get some calcium that precipitates in the venturi, either clean the venturi or let it suck in a cup of piping hot fresh water.

It's happened to me a number of times with no apparent ill effects. 3 weeks though, that's going to be some foul stuff. A large helping of GAC will quickly strip most of it out of the water.
