Skimmer Going Nuts

I added Red Slime remover to take care of some redslime that was in my sump, worked great! I know this makes the skimmer go nuts I have changed 15 gal of water in a 40gal tank and the shimmer is still going nuts, does anyone know how long I should expect for the skimmer to react like this. Will the redslime remover just stop or do I need to do more water changes? I want my skimmer working asap....

Turn the skimmer off. RSR makes it go crazy, you can turn it on in a few days.

I just found a pollypad I added that maby it will help?

that will make skimmer go nuts also, do believe the directions say to turn off filtration and poly pad will pull all the red slime remover out, honestly id find out what is causing it first

I only had the red slime in my sump not in the tank dont know how fix this any ideas? the water is good? all my sps are doing fine everthing else seems to be doing great

u got a light on your sump ? if so how old is the bulb ?

the bulb is a full specturm it is about 5 months old

might be part of the problem, how many hrs a day is it ran ? whats the life expectancy on it ?

it runs about 5 hrs a day
