Hi, I have a Seaclone 100 in my sump and can't get it easily tuned: I can get it to produce nice yellow/foul gunk, but it takes forever to get the bubbles to rise - Any tips?

do the seaclone mod it will help. do a google search (seaclone mod) or just save some cash and buy a different skimmer, seaclone's are not a very good skimmer. the mod does help it.

Yep, I had one of those for a month or so when I first started. I did the mod and it helped a bit. I would recommend saving $ for an upgrade ASAP.

So, what upgrade should I get for a 75 gallons tank once I win the lottery?

How much you willing to spend?

<-- I bought an octopus recirc skimmer that I run externally and I love it. The octopus skimmers, at least the modle I bought is well built out of thick cast acrylic.

I also have a AquC remora that works great.. if you need a HOT skimmer.

Thank you!

One last question: Is it normal for a skimmer to take a few hours after a water change to start producing?

Yes, and after you clean it. Other things can cause a halt in foam production as well. If it just last a few hours then it is nothing to concern yourself with.
