Which skimmer brand would have rather have if money was not and issue. Basing decision one which could skim most with less noise.

Tunze pumps are super quiet and reliable.
The owner of SWC is a dirtbag.
Most bubble magus skimmers have atman pumps. Some say they're quiet. Some say they're loud. Mixed bag.
The vertex is definitely your best bet out of the 3, but I wouldn't call the stock pump silent. If money isn't an issue, buy the vertex and a Tunze pump. Great body design and excellent pump. Win-win situation.

Salt Water Critters? They're definitely not the same company. Russ is in an entirely different league than the SWC (from Canada) clown.

there is no one single best company or single skimmer, but if i had to lay down which makes the best over all balanced ATB, the best skimmer company for the $ vertex

as for the 3 you listed i am a vertex fan so definately say them, they are built as solid as any high dollar skimmer, use a sedra pump even though it isnt marked as a sedra, customer support ? well cant say cause i never had to use them, but victor at ATB is as top notch as it comes
