Skimmer question

I set up a 30 long mostly for frags. Maybe a pair of clowns and some nano type gobies.
I was planning on putting Tunze 9002 nano skimmer directly into the tank itself. Are there any pre-cautions I need to take ? Any reason this wont work ?

PWC'c effectively accomplish the same thing for a tank that size unless it's your only means of filtration. Otherwise, IMO I would save the money, scrap the idea and just do your PWC's.
