Skip cycle?

I just got a nano tank can I take some rock from my established tank and water and just run the tank or will it still cycle.I wana get the clownfish out of mu fuge. Or am I better off just starting the tank and cycle it? Thanks.

You should be ok, just swap some water with the main tank everday. Test every few days is key.

I do it all the time. I recommend letting it run for 48 hours before you add the clown

Considering how new your main DT is, I would let the other tank cycle first before adding fish to it.

Im gonna get smaller rock,add half the volume of nano from my dt add newsaltwater. and wait a week or two.
