I do agree. I feel that 1000 watts on a 75 gallon is way too much. That is why I am asking though. We'll figure this out.

Ok, I will keep that in mind. My wife will certenly like that as she sure does not like the the electric bill. I have to make it up to her every month once the bill comes.... :P :D
Put it to your wife like I do to mine.........Its less expensive than two snowmobiles that only get used four months out of the year, less expensive than a hot rod in the garage, less expensive than a Harley. I WILL have a hobby, and it wont be cheap.

Oh trust me, I do!

Anyway, I am jumping back to the idea that you had originally thrown out. What if I took my coralife light (2-150 watts) and bought two new ballasts and two new outlest to mount inside the unit in order to upgrade it. Could it handle/fit 2-400 watt double ended lights and outlests? Would this be an option or would I be getting myself into trouble?
