Something growing on rock

I have a sponge looking thing growing on a piece of my rock. Is it a particular type of sponge? Is it safe? Is it possible to rip it off or siphon it or should i leave it? it seems to be getting a lil bigger

I have that all over my rocks, I think its ok has not done anything bad.

Yea the purple/pink sponge thing. It's getting bigger and not sure if it's bad to keep in tank

sponges, from what I have read, are good for the tank. Not sure about this particular one. Does it seem to be bothering anything?

no its no messing with anything but like i said--its getting bigger--and it has spikes.. is this normal for sponges?
