I have a pair of Black Ice Clownfish in a 15 gallon tank. I picked up a Picasso and a Frostbite that were from separate tanks and was thinking about placing them in my 75 (currently floating in my sump)
I'm considering taking the female (~2") of the black ice pair and placing her in my 75 gallon then adding the frostbite which is about 3/4" smaller. I would keep the male (1.5") black ice clown who is much less aggressive than the female (she always picks at him) in the 15 gallon and add the Picasso (1") to the 15 gallon
I wanted to get some thoughts on this approach. The black ice clown pair has been together for about 6-7 months which surprises me that the female still nips at the male from time to time. The female black ice clown is a bit aggressive but she would have much more space in the 75G and the frostbite is much smaller than she is. Seeing as they're all relatively small size (1-2"), I'm thinking this won't be an issue as they're all Percula hybrids. Wouldn't this be similar to one of your clowns dying and introducing a new one later on?
Thoughts?
