are star fish asexual? The reason why i am asking is cause i have a starfish for about a month and a half and i just noticed a baby star fish and i caught it and put it in a breader tank with some sand and some small pices of live rock. I found it with only 3 legs some one or something bit the other two off. I know they will grow back. I just wanted to know if star fish reproduce by themselves? Thanks

Starfish can reproduce through fission. The split themselves or drop legs.
