I use algae free tiger shark mag float.. Works well and constantly check it in case it picks up sand or a baby turbo snail.. I have thousands of them..
On the outside I use paper towel and kent aquarium glass cleaner

I really hope the tiger shark float is 100% scratch free cleaner.. I did tons of searching and everyone states it is 100% safe for starphire..

I do get paranoid using the magfloat.. But isnt the plastic scraper part totally safe?
And isn't strarphire much stronger than acrylic? I feel like you can't even touch acrylic..
I haven't seen any scratches from using it but I would like to prevent what I can.

IMO, you need to be just as careful with starphire as with acrylic... also as I found out, if you leave coralline algae on the glass too long, it will 'eat into' the glass and permanently etch it!

I have scratched my Deep Blue with razors.
I hear those tanks are similar to starfire as they are more clear than normal tanks.
I use a mag float and have no issues now.
But the scratches remain.

I use the hammerhead float for most of the areas, but I stay about 2" off the sandbed to avoid risking catching some sand and scratching the glass.
I use a brand new razor each time I wanna scrape the coraline near the edges/near the sand bed.
