I've started to get into photography in my spare time and came across stock photography while doing some online research. Not sure if other people have any interest in learning more about it or have had their own experience with stock photography that they might want to share with me. You can check out my various gallery's online if you want or if you are interested to join various online stock photography communities. (there are a lot out there!!) CanStock Photo :Relatively new Stock Photography site that, while still young, is growing at a rapid rate right. They have fairly high payouts per photo, although it sometimes takes longer to generate sales. (although that is changing each month as more and more people are learning about them).
Shutterstock : is a more established site. I have sold more pictures on this site so far than Canstock. This site is setup with subscribers downloading a certain number of pictures each month which hypothetically also means you might get more downloads this way.
Either way, both communities have been great so far. I still have a lot to learn about stock photography, but so far my experience has been really rewarding. I get feedback on my photos and it feels awesome when someone actually purchases a picture.
