stressed fish behavior

i got a sohal tang today i put it in my fuge to observe it.

when it cant see me it acts quite normal ,when i get close(if the fish can see me) it starts putting its face in the sand and almost rolling over(about half a roll)it will also do other normal things fish do when stressed.(not eating(said he ate at the store)breathing heavily,darting around.)it doesnt do its roll to much but its something that makes me say hmmmm.

is this something that i should try to figure out or is this just a stress behavior i havent seen before.

Yes, that's stress.

But do you still have it in your fuge? I'd get it into the main tank, because it will want more swimming room.

And how large is your tank?

I love Sohals, prettiest fish around IMHO. :wink:

yes very pretty fish , i put him in the main tank this afternoon and after some harassment from my desjardin he is doin fine,the sailfin has seemd to calm down alot allready.
my tank is 220 gal
