Need lightingtime suggestion post 15

Ok I'm transferring my 75g barebottom no sump which i've had running sucessfully for about two months now (even grew coraline with regular flo's ...Daceman89 can't believe it) to a 90g this week. Live stock 1 sailfin tang, 3 slugs, 2 cleaner shrimps, 2 crabs and a host of snails and stars worms (good).
I currently skim the 75g and I use a canister filter with carbon. I will stop using the canister replacing with 2 of those thingamajigs that hold the media. and will add sump to setup with asm g3.
Now here are the questions I need answered for now and I know all answers are suggestions and I will hold no one liable for any tragedies that may be incurred......Had you going ... Legal Bs.
I'm planning on going with a three inch sandbed Is this Ok?
What should I use to hold rocks Glue, Silicone, Or tie wraps?
For plumbing Flex or straight Pvc?
That's it for now thanks for all your help. Will be setting this up on friday.Thanks Guys.
P.s Planning on keeping both lps and sps minimal livestock as far as fish.

Yes
Depends on your rocks- Epoxy putty with superglue gel AND ties works wonders
Whichever suits your needs better, either one works fine,(although angles on
straight PVC can slow down your flow).

i am running a 4"dsb now. just make sure you get alot of clean-up crew. thing's to keep sand stirred up. currently i have around 50 nass snails and 2 sand sifting star fish. as well as a ton of crabs. and finding a sweet spot for powerheads

Yeah My Powerheads are going to be a trip. I got 2 koralia4's, 2 maxijets12's and a maxijet9. Will probably be using the 2 koralia's close to the top and a maxijet or two closer to the bottom. Thanks Nyreefnoob.
My rocks are fiji. I'm think i'm going with silicone and tie wraps. The epoxy is much more of a permanent thing and since i'm new at this I want to go with the silicone and tie wraps. and yeah I like the flex instead of the straight. Thanks scumonkey.

with david's help { daceman } you ought to be ok. you can also just stack rock.put rock in first then sand so rock with have a base balance. and get rid of all them pumps and get 2 good one's or i use 2 tunze nano 6025's and 1 seio 620. comtiplating selling mine and get a controllable set. if i can say anything, really think about what you want tank to be and take the time and just buy the right stuff rom the start

Get rid of my pumps for good ones and with his help I should be fine. He's the bruto that told me to buy those pumps. He said " yo bro these pumps are dope they are so hot they are on back order for a month" This is him talking about the hydor koralia's. Ay Ay ay.

I don't want to bombard him with all the questions and in order for me to get better at this I have to get my own my own pants wet. He is I would say doing about 65% of the work but I want to ease that burden.That bum is my brother (well not really i'm the ugliest guy in my family and if he was fam then he would take that prize). i wouldnt say any of the pumps u have arent good....just depends on the application ur using it for...use the koralias....they are good circulation pumps for the price.....maybe use the 2 maxi1200 in the back.

actually that epoxy is not permanent, you can pry stuff apart with a screw driver very easy, sometimes just lift it off with your hands.
zip ties work well but it's tough to hide them. I've never seen silicone used to hold rocks, not sure if it will work.
i would not use the maxijet's for flow, but those koralines look good from what I've seen.
the sand bed is fine, why are you going to sand from a bare bottom tank?
just curious.
for plumbing I like the spaflex, it can quiet down pumps also, less vibrations, make sure you get the special glue they sell for it.

The Koralias work fine for me. I have a 75 gal w/1-2" s/b & 2 K4's. They have no control on them though-major drawback. Put the rocks in 1st then the sand. The larger the rock the better-more stable less rockslides. I don't use any ties or glue. Good Luck

Dude, being that you are going with a sand bed i would not recommend the maxi jets for the bottom. plus, if one falls you are going to have some big problems. unless you buy the magnet adapter for the maxi jets. i DON"T trust the suction cups. Also, why you concerning your self with flo. you are going to have two hydor #4 pumps and a ehiem 1260 for your return. Hydors are 1200gph x 2 and the ehiem is 635 = 3035GPH. that's more then enough. this is what i would recommend. Stock your rock work 3" off the back of the tank. put your two pumps across each other and face your return toward the back side of your tank and you will be fine. you do not need lots of flo diverted to the bottom. That would leave no dead spots in your tank. you should be fine. Last thing is with your new aquascaping you need to do more cave work so you can have better flo through those areas to avoid dead spots. I see my Carmine bill getting larger and larger.lol

But now I need suggestion on my lighting (photo) time. I'm going with two schemes or any reasonable suggestions.My lights are as follows.
4 t5's are 54w 460nm actinic and metal halides are 250w de 10,000k

Scheme A
7am moonlights on
10am t5 on
3pm metal halides on
3:15 t5 off
6:30 t5 on
7pm metal halides off
8pm t5 off
8pm moonlights on
10pm moonlights off

Scheme B
7am moonlights on
1pm t5 on
4pm metal halides on.
4:15pm t5 off
6:45pm t5 on
7pm metal halides off.
9pm t5 off
9pm moonlights on
10pm moonlights off

dude, the most important thing for me is to determine what time i would be home most of the time so i can enjoy the tank first, then i set my light cycle. also you are in serious need of a chiller so maybe you might be better of running your mh at night to morning until you get the chiller. If it was my setup this is what i would do.

Mh on at 3:00
Mh off at 9:00
T5's off at 10:00
Moon lights 10:00
Refuge light on 11:00
moon lights off 8:00
