Pictures of New Tank/Sump Sketches

Hello. I have included two sketches of ideas for a sump. Please let me know what you think. I am expecting to construct it as a DIY project today. I find all the bulkhead sizes and pvc confusing lol, this should be interesting. Also, how does the refugium work if water is constantly flowing in and out of the chamber? I thought it was supposed to be a a safe environment for idk, copepods for e.g.

My tank needs to be cleaned, my powerheads and wavemaker were supposed to arrive yesterday :irked: and my mounts for my fixture are on their way. Thanks. I have included the two sketches, the tank that will be used as the sump, some shots of the tank, and a debut photo of my clam (the other clam, wouldn't allow me to take a good picture). Actually, all the photos are the first of my new tank. Thanks everyone, and have a happy new year!

Justin

you definitely don't want the baffles to go from the bottom clear to the top. You'll just overflwo your tank.

If I were you, I'd go with #2, and make the fuge/skimmer side 1" taller than the last baffle. other than that it's fine.
