Last fall i entered into my first semester at Suny Cobleskill i started a marine biology club and the school a week before the club meeting was donated a 1000 gallon fish tank. The dimensions of the tank are 10'x4'x4' so with size comes the lack of funds.I was also elected president of the club So what i was wondering was if the reef community has anything lying around there basements or that there doing a little bit of trimming the corals that you wouldn't mind parting with or donating every little bit helps our goal, because the tank was donated and the lighting system will hopefully be 2 - 3 450 watt metal halides which are recycled lights from drug bust and indoor growing operations, we are hopefully to start growing breeding and propagating coral fish and invertabraetes and then selling them back in to the trade to keep the club sustainable on its own the aquarium is hopefully being delivered this thanksgiving break

No money goes into pocket the money is recycled and put back into maintaining the tank or doing activities for the school we also want to do research on new filteration methods, new propagation methods to help decrease wild caught or collected species

once the aquariums cycled and corals can start to be introduced I'm donating a few different polyps, some nepthia (it grows pretty quick in my tank), some green mushrooms and if my hairy mushroom spilts again and attaches to a smaller rock il donate that as well i dont have a huge amount in my tank but i figure every little bit helps
