Super High Calcium w/ Seachem Reef

I've been testing Ca and Alk the past week. Its been 7 days since I did a 5g water change on my ~50g system. My calcium has been over 500ppt ever since...even a week later. As a result, my Alk is fluctuating. I compensate with dosing, but is this a real problem? I try to keep Alk at 9.5-10dKh.

I'm using Seachem Reef salt, btw. I'm debating whether to tough it out with this brand, or switch to Red Sea or something like that...

A fellow friend reefer had the same problem with that salt. He changed it and started using what I use and that is Red Sea Pro. He is back to normal with his CA and ALK.

I've been doing some research and the general consensus is that Seachem Reef is just incredible calcium rich. I guess that would be awesome if my tank was a full blown, established, SPS reef, but I'd like to be able to control my parameters better. Oh well...I'll start working in some new salt on my next water change.
