Question for anyone who has used these -

Are you getting a buzzing sound on the MJ1200? Mine is making an horrifically irritating vibrating buzzing noise. It didn't do it originally, but now has settled into a low vibrating whine. Ideas for how to fix it?

Are you using it on a 1200?

Try a 900.....even a 600.

Yeah, I have it on a 1200. I had it on a 900 before, and I don't remember it buzzing, though the impeller cracked. sigh

I have a 1200 and it make a low buzzing sound.

same here..the mod didnt use to make any sound, now once in a while it makes that annoying buzzing sound as well

my 1200 made those noise, so i took it apart, cleaned it, no sound for now

now my 900 are making those buzzing noise once in a while

huh. I used a brand new MJ1200 - shouldn't have needed to be cleaned. I'll try my 900 and see if it's any better.

There is a different impeller if you use the 1200 which reduces the buzzing sound.

I found the 1200 to buzz from vibrations, using it on a 900 it was quiet, and the flow was about the same.

alittle trick for the modded 1200 models with either the 1600 or 2100 impeller...use a piece of tubing on the shaft to make up the play/space on the impeller shaft...The vibration is caused by the magnet and play on the shaft...Mine vibrated real loud every time it started up after cleaning..with this mod no more noise....
