T5 lighting question??

I current have the TX5.I have all Geissman bulbs.3 11k's and 2 actinics.For Sps,Can I go all 11k's?Or leave it as is? My Sps are currently doing fine btw.

i have a 6 bulb set-up and using 2 10k's 2 gies 11k's and 2 antic plus and did fine with sps

I didn't think geismann had 10k's in T5?I only seen the 11k's.So are the actinics essential is my question?

no they dont have the 10k's and the antic's is really up to you if you think the 11k's will suply you with enough blue to make corals pop you have a 5 bulb set-up ? if so maybe go with 4 11's and 1 antic plus in the middle

Yeah,it's the 5 bulb one with single reflectors.The Aquatinic TX5.I can always get actinics.Maybe I'll do the 4 11k's.

if anything i would get individual reflectors. huge differance, i run the different bulbs because i like having a more complete light spectrum myself

They already come with individual reflectors.I'll show a pic of what I have.

the tx5's have individual reflectors....
4 11k and 1actinic will be very white.....
try a ATI blue plus...they add some nice blue to the tank and has very good par levels...
when i had the tx5...i had 2 blue plus,i actinic,2 aquablues,1 midday and it was too white for me....
it all depends if you more of a 10k or 15k...

mine was a little more around 12k total but had great growth

Definitely need the blues to give off a nice color to the corals.SO should I keep my current config or go with 4 11k's and one ATI aqua blue?

you can even try 2 blue plus in there on # 2 and 4 for a dawn/dusk effect.
