T5 shadow effect ?

I recently set up a 5' 120. I don't have lights for tank yet and will need to make a purchase soon. Ai are option, but pricey, and t5 would be an option as well, but 60" arent as common especially if buying a used setup.

How bad would shadow effect be with a 48" unit on the 60" tank?
Anyone do this after an upgrade, pics? Tia

Jeremy runs 48" t5 on a 60" tank..its perfect. Leaves a little lower light on sides for low light corals.

I guess I have a little time to cycle and figure it out. I would need at least 4 then if went ai's. It's a matter of up front cost vs bulbs.... Thanks for replies

Plus heat and chiller Ot is just my opinion but these lights are the way to go my sps are doing great and my chiller hardly comes on
