I recently set up a Innovative Marine 10 Gallon for my aunt, we just put the water, dry rocks and sand into the tank. Now it's sitting there. We didn't add anything to start the cycling process yet. However I do have some of her filter media sitting in my cousins established 125 gallon tank, its only been in there for a week so I figured it needs more time to really get established with Bacteria. Just wanted to ask should I have her throw in something to start the cycling process like fish food or even just lend her my ammonia drops bottle? Or Can I simply just wait to get the established media and just place it in her tank?
Personally was thinking best to start the cycling with ammonia drops than gather the established media? Any other ideas?
