yea I have a venturi skimmer, plus I like to keep the water well oxygenated. Most reefs are right near the shore and the waves keep lots of bubbles in the water. And yes the backdrop is a mirror lol it looks sweet, but only when the backs clean. Unfortunately I put the tank to close to the wall so its a biatch to clean.
You can keep the water well oxygenated by using a skimmer and having could surface agitation. No need to run a venturi right in your tank. I think if you dove you'd find that you're fish are not swimming through a virtual snowfall of bubbles.
I think you'll also find soon enough that the bubbles will create a huge mess with salt creep all over and could potentially become a dangerous electrical hazard.
Yeah, it's coming along. I agree with JP, you could get rid of the bubbles and it'd look better. Do keep that back glass clean and that mirror will keep giving you that cool look! And what kind of new tank syndromes did you have?
Hmm what do you mean about electrical problems? The only problems Im having right now is Im out of the brown algae phase and into the green algae phase. Im also having a problem keeping my calcium up it keeps staying at 330. I add 15 ml of calcium stuff (forgot brand) every day cause it says not to add more than that per 24 hours. Other than that everythings happy.
Oh I just looked at the picture of NEMO that you must have seen all the bubbles from. The tank doesnt NEARLY have that many bubbles. That was the day I ran my filter and the filter wasnt full of enough water so it produced TONS of bubbles.
