I think lanacane214 is asking if these lights are good no if u ever hear of them or what lights u running now!!!
I got 3 over my 150 and sps can not be happier
I used them for quite for over 2 years. They were very good at growing just about anything. They began to give me trouble and they slowly started to burn out. I switched over to OceanRevive S026. They seem to be much better built. Bigger heat sink Quieter fans and full spectrum. Been running them for about a year now with no trouble.
ocean revive is amazing i have there EverGrow IT2040's now. we ran the Tao Tronics for a year before we Upgraded to the EverGrows. IMO the EverGrows are 10x better worth the Extra few pennys.
if your on a budget. I would go with tao-Tronics. make sure you get a Lens tho cause the ones with no lens are like lasers lol. But either or is still good.
Ive had them on my 29 biocube tank a little over two weeks. I love the way they make the tank look and that the blue and whites are dimmable and they make the water look shimmery
At first certain corals responded immediately to the lights(my candycanes and frogspawn and dendro). Then after I set it to 50% each light everything seemed to close up. I got some great advice from Rob and lowered it to 50%blue and the whites are at 35% for a few days now and wow, what a difference, everything is responding really well. I dont think my tank ever looked so great.
I think everyone will suggest the one they have. Thats why they bought it. The S026 and the d120 are very compatible. I went with the s026 because the leds are spread out over a larger footprint and I needed the spread. They are good for a 2' x2' footprint. They also look nicer hanging IMO. You can't go wrong with either. One note. They are not controllable.
