RODI is the universal way to get lab grade pure water....

Its a good investment if u are planning to keep a reef tank for at least a year+...Plus you will save ur self many water quality problems in the long run.

Godd RODI that have quick connectors, clear housings, and good membraines go for $120-$250....Dont waist money getting just an RO. Thats built only for drinking water...

Hey i've seen a lot of reviews on this product and it does'nt do it's job your better off searching this site for a good one there's a ton's for sale.

Inquiring minds would want to know what product it is you are referring to.... is it the tap water filter or the RO Unit?

I had the tap water filter from API, Still do somewhere in storage I think. I used it, it didn't really do a good job of anything. Keep your money and save it for an ro unit or if you have a small nano tank you could always top off with distilled water like I do.

I've used the tap water purifier for years. Its a deionizer, basically the same kind of thing I used in my graduate days in the NYU fish lab. It works fine...and since NYC water (at least in my house.....in apartments you have issues with the pipes) is really pretty pure, only orthophosphate really has to be removed, a cartridge lasts me about 4 months.
