'tard skimmer

My remora pro skimmer did a pretty good job skimming my 75 gal tank for a week or two, pulling about 3/4 a cup of skimmate each week, but now it seems to have died down. i just cleaned it and there seems to be no blockage. i noticed that when i tilt it forward or backward and put pressure on the tubing from the back of the tank, the skimmer seems to start working again. i temporarily fix this by putting different amount of duct tape on behind the filter to make it shift positions. has anyone had a similar experience? is there anyway to permanently fix this??

did you try using the level adjusting screws at the bottom of the skimmer to make the adjustment?

i was trying to say that i push the skimmer towards me (at the front of the tank) to push the tubing attached to the intake to bend it slightly and create a different pressure. this seems to temporarily make it work again. (its hard to explain)
