Tek2 retro fit wireing help

Ok i bought the Tek2 T5 retro fit kit . Installed it in my canopy and wired it up. The only problem i have is the green wire the earth ground wire . Know the 2 green wire is joined but what am i sopose to do with it ? It has and eye connector on it .Am i supose to connect this to the metal on the ballest .? Please some one help me with this .

Ground

If you connect the two green wires together and one side is from your plug in the wall its grounded, just tape it off

Its a very old house there is no earth ground on the outlet I checked.

In older houses the ground is the outer metal sheathing on the BX cable and the ground of the outlet is usually connected to the metal outlet box. Very old houses have only 2 prong outlets which you can install a updated outlet yourself in the above manor as long as you test to make sure the outlet box is indeed grounded or call an electrician. The later is always the safer bet if you are not familiar with electricity.
