I'd like to extend an apology to all for the recent postings and heated dialogue that followed. I did not intend to offend or attack anyone, and I doubt that any other people did either. The nature of this forum often leads to heated argument, as firm opinions and entrepreneurial incentives fuel our passions. But there are always better ways to put things and to treat each other. We will seek these better ways as we move foward collectively.
It would be naive to think that this forum (or any other) could function on a strict policy of not making specific references. We must explore ways to allow for meaningful dialogue without entering forbidden territory. Suggestions as to how this might best be accomplished are welcomed and encouraged.
Rumors that this forum would be "shut down" or that readers would be "driven away" are highly exaggerated. Putting aside the recent difficulties, this forum remains a rich source of information and entertainment. Readership here is exceptionally high, especially when it is compared to the number of those who post messages in the forum. We have an interested and captivated audience.
Look for an exciting new announcement about this forum very soon. It's a big surprise!
Sincerely,
John Brandt
