So I was wondering if there is a particular order that filtration needs to run. I'm setting up a pretty big system using information from many different setups that I've read about. The order of equipment placement and water flow will be:

Display tank ->
75gal. Inner sump tank (sitting inside main sump bin) ->
Bubble King Protein Skimmer ->
50gal. RDSB ->
Ozoner ->
Carbon Reactor ->
GFO Reactor ->
Sulfur Denitrator ->
Calcium Reactor ->
Outer 200gal. Sump Bin ->

Also flowing into the Outer 200gal. Sump will be RO/DI water on a 5gal./day flow. There will be approx. 3gal./day pumped out of the 75gal. Inner sump tank. This will effectively be a constant water change that will always be running. I chose to do this to create a more constant environment that limits the shock of water changes to the system. Also saves me a ton of maintenance time.

A Reeflo Pump will return everything from the 200gal. Outer Sump to the Main Tank but it will run through a Kalk Reactor bypass first that will have a PH controller. If the PH drops below 8.2, the reactor will switch on and adjust the water until it reaches 8.2 - 8.4

There are plenty of other components but I'm just questioning whether the Carbon and GFO should come before the RDSB or the Kalk should be before the Calcium, etc... Just not sure about the order. Thanks!

K.I.S.S. method should be applied in a situation like this. Think rationally on what you really need, which pertains to bare essentials and start from there. Too much of something will rarely give you the immediate satisfaction you are looking for.

It's not about what works with their setup... it's how yours will react to it.
Reef systems are not built overnight... and just because one person's setup is working for them it does not mean that it will work for yours.
Start small and build with what is needed.
